This event will be beneficial to anyone involved in EB-5. The event day will bring together experts and practitioners on all sides of the EB-5 equation. After each panel, guests will have the opportunity to discuss EB-5 issues among themselves and with speakers. This is a CLE workshop, however it is designed to be materially useful to Regional Center executives and real estate developers also, in addition to immigration attorneys.

                                    ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

                                    Robert Loughran (DL) heads the Emigration and Employer Sanctions practice areas of the firm FosterQuan, LLP. He has written articles on Maintenance of Status, the competitive advantage of Mexican maquiladoras, and the United States' reliance on foreign technical brainpower. His practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate immigration, emigration to third countries, and related international law. He presents frequently before legal, professional, and academic organizations on the topics of U.S. and foreign work authorization, employer sanctions, maintenance of status, and changes in government proceedings.

                                    Charles Foster is Co-Chairman of FosterQuan, LLP, one o f the largest global immigration law firms. He is also the honorary Consul General of the Kingdom of Thailand. A native of Galveston, Texas, Mr. Foster received his Bachelors Degree from the University of Texas and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Foster serves as the founding Chairman of the State Bar of Texas Immigration and Nationality Law Section and a Board member and is past national President of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, Chairman of the American Bar Association Coordinating Committee on Immigration law and Vice Chairman of the Houston Bar Foundation. During the 2000 Presidential Campaign, Mr. Foster served as the principal advisor to President Bush on U.S. immigration policy and was an advisor on immigration policy issues to President Bush in the 2004 campaign and President Barack Obama in the 2008 campaign. He is Chairman of Americans for Immigration Reform, a 501(c)(3) affiliate of the Greater Houston Partnership and the GHP's Immigration Task Force. He is Chairman of the Asia Society-Texas Center and past Chairman of the Houston International Festival and past President of the Houston Forum and the Houston Club. He is a Director of and serves on the Executive Committee of the Greater Houston Partnership and past Chairman of its Economic Development and World Trade Divisions. He is a recipient of 4 Royal decorations from His Majesty the King of Thailand; he received the 2000 Distinguished Friends of China Award; the 1996 International Service Award of the Houston Junior Chamber of Commerce; was the 1998 Honoree of the American Immigration Law Foundation for Excellence in the Practice of Immigration Law; and the recipient of the 2007 American Jewish Committee Institute of Human Relations Award. He was designated a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly magazine, the "Top Notch Lawyer in Immigration" in the Texas Lawyer "Go To Lawyers Guide" each year published, and the #1 Ranked Immigration Lawyer in Texas by Chambers USA.

                                    Matt Gordon is a the Managing Director of E3 Investment Group. He is a finance professional whose vision and passion is to help realize extraordinary value through the flawless planning and execution of strategy, financings and transactions that foster aggressive sustainable growth. Mr. Gordon is a licensed attorney, having practiced law with some of the most prestigious Wall Street firms, including Fried Frank and Sullivan & Cromwell. He is a member of the New York State Bar and holds SEC securities licenses.

                                    David Gunderson has founded, built and sold several successful companies in the commercial real estate industry, including architecture, construction, development and finance. Both Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business and Fortune Magazine have recognized his companies. Mr. Gunderson has managed, designed and developed over $750 Million of commercial real estate. His clients have included the US Immigrations & Customs Enforcement, the US Secret Service, the US Department of Education, and numerous Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Gunderson is a licensed Architect and holds a Series 7 securities license.

                                    David Jacoby is the Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of the Las Vegas Economic Impact Regional Center (LVEIRC) and the Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino. Mr. Jacoby is in charge of all day to day activities of LVEIRC including international marketing and investor outreach, legal structuring, new business development, and strategic capital initiatives. In his role as Chief Operating Officer of Lucky Dragon Hotel & Casino Mr. Jacoby is in charge of all development activities including design, construction, operations, capital resource allocation and community outreach. Mr. Jacoby also serves as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for Global Gaming Asset Management (GGAM). GGAM is a world leading developer of premier destinations and integrated resorts, whose current projects include Solaire Manila, a US$1 billion casino resort in the Philippines, as well as the Baha Mar Resort and Casino, a $3.5 billion project currently under development in the Bahamas. Comprised of top hospitality, gaming and construction executives, GGAM has played an integral role in the evolution of integrated resorts throughout the world, creating beacons of international tourism and hubs of world renowned entertainment, dining, shopping, and conventions. Prior to joining GGAM, Mr. Jacoby served as Vice President and Co-Head of the Global Gaming department at New York based strategic consulting firm, Jaffoni & Collins. While there, Mr. Jacoby provided counsel to senior executives of several publicly traded companies throughout the gaming industry in North America and Asia regarding capital markets strategies and Wall St. interactions. He has advised management teams on a wide range of initiatives, including approximately $10 billion in mergers and acquisitions, appointments of key personnel, entrances into new markets, business model revisions, and legal settlements. Mr. Jacoby also directed all investor interactions for his clients, including all public Wall Street communications, setting and adhering to financial guidance, SEC interactions and ensuring appropriate regulatory compliance, and strategic capitalization initiatives including security offerings, share repurchases, and Private Investments in Public Equity (PIPE). Mr. Jacoby holds a Master's Degree in Real Estate Finance & Investment from the School of Hotel Management at Cornell University and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Communication from the University of Pennsylvania.

                                    Cheryl A. Lane, founder and president of the Lane Group of Companies, has 30 years experience as a private investment banker, financial advisor and professional trustee serving business owners, property owners and family estates. Collectively, the companies are positioned to consult on, plan for and execute all types of transactions that a business or estate may require as it navigates the many transitions of a long and successful life cycle. Cheryl and her team are experts in developing complete and effective financial strategic plans.                                     Gordon Quan is Co-Chairman at FosterQuan, LLP. Graduating from the South Texas College of Law in 1977, Mr. Quan has received many honors during his practice including being listed in Best Lawyers in America, Who's Who in American Law, Texas Super Lawyers, and the Martindale-Hubbell's "AV Rating". Mr. Quan is also Chair of the Texas Chapter of AILA and and is on the Advisory board of the Center for Immigration Research of the University of Houston. Additionally, he is the former President of the Asian Pacific American Municipal Officials for the National League of Cities.

                                    Nenad Radu works in deal origination at Hussar & Co. Mr. Radu, a Serbian national by birth, brings together a decades worth of sales experience in the emerging markets and with his sales and IT background is responsible for utilizing technology and social media in order to originate pool of talents and prospective clients, as well as developing internal infrastructure. Prior to Hussar & Co. Mr. Radu headed up deal origination for the European desk at Nova Capital Partners in New York. He has deep experience in the region of emerging Europe and received his degree in Computer Science from the University of Technology in Serbia. Mr. Radu is fluent in English, Serbian, and Croatian.

                                    Reid Thomas is the Executive Vice President at NES Financial, leading the company's sales and marketing organization. He brings over 20 years of executive management experience at both private and public companies, including Laszlo Systems, Octel Communications, and VINA Technologies. During his time with NES Financial, Mr. Thomas has been instrumental in the rapid growth of the company's EB-5 business, making NES Financial the leader in EB-5 by providing innovative solutions specifically built for the industry. Mr. Thomas' active participation in the EB-5 community has made him a frequent and sought after speaker at events and conferences across the country. He has written numerous articles, blogs, and white papers on the topics of escrow and fund administration, solidifying his position as an industry expert.

                                    Christian Triantaphyllis is an attorney in FosterQuan LLP's Houston office. He concentrates his practice on business immigration matters and is a member of the firm's EB-5 immigrant investor legal team. Mr. Triantaphyllis represents clients in the preparation and filing of immigrant investor petitions pertaining to proprietary investments and to investments through Regional Centers. Prior to joining FosterQuan, Mr. Triantaphyllis clerked at an international law firm in New York, NY where he worked on a wide variety of global immigration issues. He also interned for the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague. For two years Mr. Triantaphyllis served as a United States Peace Corps Volunteer in Malawi. He is the News Editor for the American Bar Association's Immigration Litigation Committee and is the author of several articles concerning international legal issues.

                                    Catharine Yen is an attorney in FosterQuan LLP's Houston office. She is a member of the firm's immigrant investor team and her primary practice includes handling EB-5 cases. She has been involved in every aspect of the EB-5 process, including filing I-526 petitions, I-829 petitions, and I-924 Applications. Ms. Yen corresponds with individual investors, regional centers, agents, securities attorneys, economists, and business plan writers to help her individual investor clients and regional center clients accomplish their goals. To date, she has filed 150+ I-526 petitions. Additionally, Ms. Yen is a committee member of the Asian American Bar Association in Houston and she is conversant in Chinese.
