Editor's Comments

In a letter to the Editor today, Angelo Paparelli provides us with the Comment sent to the DOL on the PERM regulations by the Mayor of the City of Irvine, California. The letter makes a strong argument that the proposed DOL rule would adversely affect small businesses, which are 86.4% of all businesses in Irvine. Political activism and advocacy in immigration issues is not confined to the federal level. Numerous state and local officials have ample reasons to be concerned with immigration policy. We hope that some of our readers will find in this letter reason to involve their local officials in the immigration debate.
