30.8 Million Nonimmigrants In FY 2004
The Office of Immigration Statistics of the DHS released its analysis of the characteristics of nonimmigrants arriving in FY 2004, highlights include:

- Almost one-half of the 30.8 million nonimmigrant arrivals in FY 2004 were citizens of three countries: the United Kingdom, Mexico, and Japan
- Most common states of destination included Florida, California, New York, Texas, and Hawaii
- 22.8 million entered as tourists with an additional 4.6 million entering as business travelers
- Males were more likely than females to enter the United States in 2004
