Infinite H-1Bs

In his testimony on Capitol Hill, Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates called for removing all limits on the number of H-1B visas issued as a way of boosting America's competitiveness. Gates said there is a "terrible shortfall" in the number of visas available to high-tech companies and cautioned that the nation will "find it infinitely more difficult to maintain its technological leadership if it shuts out the very people who are most able to help us compete," and that "America has always done its best when we brought the best minds to our shores."

Dear Weekly Editor:
Is that why the gentleman from Rancho Cucamonga proposed the idea of giving each family that has a baby born in California, beginning January 2008, $500.00? That would be another way have having another wave of future workers ready in 20 years. Just saying.
