Vote Early And Often

Individuals are invited to vote and select their pick for the next Republican presidential candidate in what is billed as the 1st annual Presidential March Madness. The online survey which began on March 17, 2005 listed 64 notable Republicans vying for the 2008 Republican nomination. The survey has received additional media attention because the list, now down to eight candidates, includes Rep. Tancredo who has received more votes than any other candidate.

Supporters of Rep. Tancredo and his anti-immigration platform have been encouraging their constituents to visit the site and vote in the survey to boost Rep. Tancredo's rating and increase his press coverage. Anti-immigrationists have used the results of straw polls (like this one) to support the proposition that Americans support the anti-immigrationists' policies. If Rep. Tancredo were to lose in this straw poll, it would reduce the confidence of the backers of the REAL ID bill, and would also possibly pave the way to sweeping legalization legislation in the near future. No registration is required to vote, and apparently more than one vote per person is permitted provided it be done on different days. Those who are interested in defeating Mr. Tancredo's message, may want to vote in this online straw poll. Those who vote may want to tell all their friends to take this quick, easy, and possibly decisive action against Mr. Tancredo. Vote early and vote often!
