Fragomen Elects Five New Members, Counsel Of The Firm

JANUARY 12, 2004 -- Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy (Fragomen) announced the election of six new Members and a new Counsel of the firm. Each of these attorneys has shown exemplary service and dedication. Their knowledge and experience enables them to provide outstanding guidance to you as clients. Jonathan C. Adams is based in Fragomen's New Jersey office and became a Member of the firm effective January 1, 2004. He attended Brooklyn College (B.A., 1992, cum laude, Dean's List); Boston College Law School (Visiting Student); and Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 1995). Jonathan is admitted to the bars in New Jersey (1995), New York (1996) and the District of Columbia (1998). He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association and the District of Columbia Bar Association.

Haseena J. Enu is the Managing Attorney of Fragomen's Washington, DC office and became a Member of the firm effective January 1, 2004. She attended Brown University (A.B., 1990); Cornell Law School (J.D., 1994); and Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs (M.I.A., 1995). Haseena was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1996 and the District of Columbia Bar in 1997.

Enrique Gonzalez, III is based in Fragomen's Coral Gables, Florida office and became a Member of the firm effective July 1, 2003. He is a graduate of Tulane University (B.A, magna cum laude, 1988) and Cornell University (J.D., 1991, Phi Beta Kappa; Omicron Delta Kappa; Phi Eta Sigma; Member, Moot Court Board). Since 1994, he has served as Vice Mayor of the City of West Miami. Enrique is admitted to Florida Bar and is fluent in Spanish.

Lisa M. Koenig is based in Fragomen's New York office and became a Member of the firm effective January 1, 2004. She attended New York University (B.A., 1987) and Brooklyn Law School (J.D., 1992). Lisa is admitted to the Bar in New Jersey (1992), New York (1993), and the Supreme Court of the United States (1996). She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Foreign Law Association. Lisa is a member of the Professional Discipline Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and serves on the Advisory Council to Sanctuary for Families, a non-profit group dedicated to meeting the needs of victims of domestic violence. Lisa is fluent in the Hebrew and French languages.

Lisa M. Ryan is based in Fragomen's New York office and became a Member of the firm effective January 1, 2004. She attended Cornell University, (B.A., 1991) and Tulane University School of Law (J.D., 1994, Phi Delta Phi). Lisa was admitted to the New York State Bar and Illinois Bar in 1995. She is also a member of the American Bar Association. She was Editor-in-Chief of the Tulane Journal of International and Comparative Law from 1992 to 1994. Lisa is fluent in Italian.

Helena S. Younossi is the Managing Attorney of Fragomen's San Francisco office and became a Member of the firm effective January 1, 2004. She attended the University of California Los Angeles (B.A., 1989) and University of San Francisco (J.D., 1992). Helena is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers, and the Bar Association of San Francisco. She is a two-time recipient of the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services for the voluntary provision of legal services to the poor. Helena currently serves on the Ethics Committee of the San Francisco Bar Association. She has been the invited speaker on the Rules of Professional Conduct for various organizations including the Sixth Annual Statewide Ethics Symposium, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center and the Public Law Institute. She has also been an invited speaker on corporate immigration related matters at the ABA's annual conference. Helena is fluent in German and Farsi.

In addition, Fragomen announces that Howard W. Gordon has been promoted to serve as Counsel to the firm. Howard directs the firm's Legal Practice group, which closely monitors agency and Congressional activity and provides knowledge and government relations services to Fragomen and its clients. In this role, Howard provides counsel to all Fragomen teams nationwide. He also serves as Special Counsel to the American Council on International Personnel (ACIP). Howard is admitted to the bar in the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania, and is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). Howard attended the University of Maryland (B.A., 1977) and Cornell Law School (J.D., 1981). Before joining the firm, Howard was Director of Information at AILA from 1992-1999, and was in private immigration practice for several years prior.
