R.E. Bear laments (3/26) that his "facts" are not accepted and acted
upon. However, there are several other important considerations in the immigration controversy as discussed in my letter of 3/26. The conclusion that the only solution is to bring in more Mexicans and legalize the "undocumented immigrants" (illegal aliens) "accommodates" the needs of the immigration special interests as much as migrants. But at whose expense? Not only do taxpayers bear the burdens of all kinds of costs involved, but society as well because of the cultural differences. Migrants, or their children, will not forever remain in lower paid jobs,
thus setting up a never ending flood of foreigners in unacceptable numbers. It is not the concerns of foreigners that should be accommodated, but those of Americans including our national sovereignty. Society is not well served by massive foreign invasions and law breaking.
