MESSAGES FROM THE HOUSE
At 12:51 p.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered
by Ms. Niland, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has
agreed to the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 1696) to
expedite the construction of the World War II memorial in the District
The message also announced that the House has passed the following
bills, in which it requests the concurrence of the Senate:
H.R. 495. an act to designate the Federal building located
in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, United States Virgin
Islands, as the ``Ron de Lugo Federal Building.''
H.R. 1801. An act to designate the United States courthouse
located at 501 West 10th Street in Fort Worth, Texas, as the
``Eldon B. Mahon United States Courthouse.''
H.R. 1885. An act to expand the class of beneficiaries who
may apply for adjustment of status under section 245(i) of
the Immigration and Nationality Act by extending the deadline
for classification petition and labor certification filings,
and for other purposes.
