Dear Editor:

I would like to provide some information to my fellow Mesquite, Texas victim, who's letter you published in the ILW.COM Daily Newsletter of March 20, 2001. My I-130 is for my Peruvian wife.

  • Mailed Forms: April 7, 2000
  • Priority Date: April 26, 2000
  • Receipt Date: May 25, 2000
  • Approved on: February 13, 2001
My case is now at the Department of State National Visa Center for who knows how long. The local office for my Congressman has mailed me four copies of different email status requests, with responses. One with a response dated January 23, 2001 states: "Hello Terry, I will request this file and forward to Exams for processing. It will probably take from 45 to 60 days before this will be adjudicated." Maybe someone can interpret what really happened. Like the earlier writer, I have written everyone and often. Congressman Dave Weldon and Governor Jeb Bush are the only to respond.
