I am 34 years old, male, married, wife not legal, 3 California born children, been in this country sense I was 2 years old (1968) with proof of every year. I am here illegally. You're probably thinking why. I have a felony conviction. (February 1986). I have received a certificate of rehabilitation from my county's superior court and my automatic application for a pardon is pending in Sacramento, Ca. I have not applied for the amnesty of 1972 for fear of being put on removal notice due to my aggravated felony conviction. I am waiting for bills S. 173 (Moynihan- criminal alien convictions) and H.R. 3272 (to restore title of definition of a felony to what it was before 1996) to pass in Congress. My life depends on them. I have been writing to the senators and representatives asking for support of these bills. I have found out that there are a lot of immigrants like myself that are being affected by old conviction. Could you please make note and try to post more info for us concerning the criminal alien issue. Thank you. You can count on me for support of your association. Look forward to seeing you it prosper.

Best regards,

JM (e-mail address withheld)
