Comment: Unshackle Outstanding Americans -
The Washington Post carries a moving tribute to America by Vivek Wadhwa, one of the five recipients of this year's Outstanding Americans by Choice award. A quick Google search of his website (Go to Google and type "immigration site:wadhwa.com") shows the following thoughtful articles: "Immigration and the death of the recovery", "Why Silicon Valley Immigrant Entrepreneurs Are Returning Home", "America is bleeding competitiveness", "We need to stop America's brain drain", "To Spur Economic Growth, Bet on 60 Startups", "Our Best Imports: Keeping Immigrant Innovators Here" and more. We congratulate USCIS for recognizing the contributions of Mr. Wadhwa in spite of his being a prominent critic of US immigration policy. But, please let us not stop with accolades - US immigration policy is doing grievous harm to the productivity and possible contributions of these and other outstanding Americans as Mr. Wadhwa's writings clearly demonstrate. Unshackle outstanding Americans, immigrant or otherwise, from the chains of restrictive immigration laws. Please let us know your thoughts by writing to us at email@example.com.
