Some lay the blame squarely on the Federal government for utterly failing to fix our broken immigration laws, leaving the states to their own devices. Some object to paying attention to the complaints of the countries whose own rights protection records and immigration laws are far worse than our own. Some argue for the states' right to enact their own laws by majority vote without interference from outside their states. And some provide reasons why unions, businesses, churches, medical professionals and all Alabamans should join the fight against Alabama’s immigration law.
