Printing Press Broken
A print newspaper is unable to publish its daily issue when its printing press is broken. Immigration Daily is an electronic newspaper, and an internet connection at our office is equivalent to a printing press for us to publish our daily issue. We receive excellent internet connectivity services from Verizon, a major internet service provider. Today, thousands of Verizon customers in the New York City area do not have internet services due to an outage of a major switch at Verizon. We are publishing today's abbreviated edition with the kind help of a neighbor who has internet access from another service provider. While the reliability of our country's internet infrastructure continues to improve, occasional outages such as today's do occur. We request our readers to bear with us, it is likely that this situation will be resolved within one business day.
