CRS Reports

Congressional Research Service (CRS) reports are produced by the Congressional Research Service which prepares neutral, broad reports (unlike OIG or GAO reports which have a narrower and non-policy focus) on request for members of Congress on a variety of policy issues. We're pleased to announce that all CRS reports featured on ILW.COM can be found on our new CRS page. This new page contains links to all featured CRS reports, including updates of these reports. It is an easy way for readers, including law librarians, to locate a specific CRS report or to check if you have missed any reports. To visit the CRS page, see here.

We welcome readers to share their opinion and ideas with us by writing to editor@ilw.com.

Letters

Readers are welcome to share their comments, email: editor@ilw.com (300-words or fewer preferred). Many letters to the Editor refer to past correspondence, available in our archives.

Dear Editor:
Immigration Daily recently ran an item referencing "The General Accounting Office". In fact, the name was changed in July 2004 to Government Accountability Office.

Martin M. Solomon, Esq.

Editor's note: You're absolutely correct. Thanks to our reader for pointing this out.

Dear Editor:
I have been reading Immigration Daily for some time now, but obviously I missed any mention of where exactly the "eloquent" letters written by Ali Alexander fit into the whole thing. His letters appear often in Immigration Daily. I would be interested to learn more about this letter writer's background, type of employment/industry, and most of all, what generation American he is. His letters to the Editor express strong opinions, some of which I agree with, and some I don't. Does anyone have any stats on how many people on H1B visas actually ultimately get a greencard? I can assure, I am well on my way to obtaining my greencard, and will certainly be applying my "skills" to the US workplace where I am sure someone will appreciate it.
