Dear Editor:
My father is waiting for the approval of the equity bill and now the immigration reform bill, for how many more years he has to wait? He is 82 years old and time is running out. I feel very sad when I think that my father is living alone in the U.S. fighting for his principles. I know he is not alone. Many WWII Veterans have the same situation as him. I want to suggest to our lawmakers for immediate approval of the equity bill for the sake of the Filipino US Veterans. I hope Immigration will give consideration to those who have a military service for the family to prioritize in the processing of their immigration visa. I suggest to lawmakers who will create this immigration reform bill to give considerations for compassionate ground.
