Few names in immigration law are as well known as that of Steven C. Bell. As co-author with Austin T. Fragomen, Jr. of a large number of important reference books, Mr. Bell's name graces practically every immigration lawyer's library. Immigration Daily notes with regret his untimely death in a car accident. Immigration Daily received the following obituary notice. The law firm of Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP, mourns the death of its longtime friend and colleague, Steven C. Bell, on November 14, 2006, at age 55. Steve was an attorney and a prolific writer and speaker on U.S. immigration issues. He was co-author, with Austin T. Fragomen, Jr., of numerous highly regarded publications in the field, including the Immigration Procedures Handbook, the H-1B Handbook, Immigration Law and Business, and the Labor Certification Handbook (Thomson West). He was a longtime member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and a graduate of New York University Law School and the University of Pennsylvania. Early in his career, he was an associate with the firm, before turning to writing full time.In the many immigration professionals who rely on his books everyday, Steven C. Bell's legacy will live on.
