We are looking for an individual knowledgeable in J visa administration or immigration law that is interested in working with a mission-driven, entrepreneurial organization that is growing rapidly. Responsible Officer Job Description: As the Responsible Officer for AIESEC US, Inc.'s J Exchange Program, you will administer all aspects of the program according to U.S. Department of State regulations. You will need to be thoroughly familiar with the Exchange Visitor Program regulations and the State Department's current Codebook and instructions for Responsible Officers. The regulations serve as the guide and instructions for program administration. Your role is to adhere to the regulations where they are specific, and use your best judgment where regulations are unclear or where formal policy does not exist. You will work with other staff members to develop and maintain processes and systems related to the J Exchange Program. There will also be an opportunity to develop competency and play a leadership role in managing visa processes for other countries.

Location: New York, NY Health Benefits: General health coverage through Oxford Health Plans (provider subject to change) will be fully covered by AIESEC. Voluntary dental coverage is also currently available with a nominal monthly charge. Travel: Transportation and lodging for required travel will be covered by AIESEC US on an as-needed basis. The employee covers relocation costs to New York to begin the position. Working Hours/Workload: Business hours are from 10am to 6pm but flexible with advanced notice as long as work requirements are completed. Weekends are normally free but you will be required to work some weekends on an as-needed basis. The work environment is often quite hectic, challenging, and entrepreneurial. Working long hours to complete assignments in time is often the norm. Living Arrangements: If relocating to New York, you will be expected to find your own living arrangements, however we will assist you where possible in identifying different housing options. Transportation: Because of the extensive public transportation system in New York, a car is not necessary for this position.
