Dear Editor,
Let us take the following as fact.
1. INS is seriously bogged down in paperwork of its own doing.
2.Congress as a whole seriously lacks understanding of the basic immigration thrust and continues to "fiddle" while the nation burns.
3. Courts seem to adopt a Pontius Pilate attitude on the basis that the problem is not theirs.
4. For a nation built on immigration and nothing else, it is very disconcerting to see Congress and the Senate in denial.
I believe government could solve much of its immigration woes by taking five
of the nation's most pressing immigration problems as referendums to the
citizens of the US and let them decide. We have just four years to frame them, so lets get to work on the nation's
biggest 21st century problem.
