INTERNATIONAL PATIENT ACT OF 2000
Mr. SESSIONS. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the
Committee on the Judiciary be discharged from further consideration of
H.R. 2961, and the Senate then proceed to its immediate consideration.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered. The clerk
will report the bill by title.
The legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (H.R. 2961) to amend the Immigration and Nationality
Act to authorize a 3-year pilot program under which the
Attorney General may extend the period for voluntary
departure in the case of certain nonimmigrant aliens who
require medical treatment in the United States and were
admitted under the visa waiver pilot program, and for other
purposes.
There being no objection, the Senate proceeded to consider the bill.
Mr. SESSIONS. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the bill be
read the third time and passed, the motion to reconsider be laid upon
the table, and that any statements relating to the bill be printed in
the Record.
