Bloggings On Political Asylum

by Jason Dzubow

Doonesbury Takes on Asylum

Trff Bmzklfrpz and Duke in happier days.

Gary Trudeaus comic strip Doonesbury is running a series about a deposed dictator named Trff Bmzklfrpz who is seeking asylum in the United States.  The dictator is living with (and mooching off) Uncle Duke, and Duke wants him out of the house.  He tries to convinceand coerceTrff to attend his asylum hearing and get his green card, so he can find a job and get out of the house.  If you are interested, here is a link to the first strip in the series.
