Improve Memory Power

by Rita Martinez

If you have ever wondered how to improve memory power, then this article is for you. There are a variety of ways you can do this such as through mental exercise, physical training, and through supplementation (vitamins, minerals, and herbs). By utilizing one or more of these methods, you will ensure you are improving memory power, and maximizing your brain's full potential.

  • Do not be comfortable: Going to a new place increases your need to pay attention to detail. If you are out of your usual routine, you have to take the time to stop and think about your next move. One additional memory exercise you can use at the end of a new journey is to create a mental picture of where you were and try to draw a map of it when you get home. This can show you how much visual attention you gave to your new surroundings.
  • Multiple Senses: If you are trying to memorize a list, recite it aloud. That way your brain processes the information in multiple ways and there is greater success at moving the information from the working memory to long-term memory.
  • Healthy Habits: Eating healthy foods (especially foods that are high in vitamins and amino acids) will help you with your goal of achieving a powerful memory. Getting plenty of rest can also help you to maintain focus. Additionally, cardio and weight training are excellent for the body as they reduce stress hormones and increase blood flow throughout the body. Finally, avoid using stimulant and depressants such as alcohol and tobacco. Using these substances has a proven correlation with memory loss and reducing memory power.

  • Supplements: Look for a product that contains ginkgo biloba, panax ginseng, choline, alpha GPC and theanine. These ingredients have many powerful effects in the body such as increasing neurotransmitters (l-dopa and acetylcholine), reducing free radicals, increase blood flow to the brain, and improve memory power, reaction time and speed. There is one brand that contains all these ingredients in addition to others and it is called Focus Fast. Want to find out more about this product? Click Here
